(UPM, Lahti, April 16, 2010 at 12:00 EET) UPM is pleased to announce the release of a new innovation: WISA-Form Pro, a high performance formwork panel for the concrete forming industry. The panel features excellent strength properties of birch plywood combined with a new rippling free grey composite coated surface which leaves no grain marks on the casting.

"WISA-Form Pro is an advanced formwork panel that sets a new standard in the formwork industry: easier handling on site, longer useful life and higher quality of concrete surface" says UPM's construction segment's business manager Jens Schaufert.

WISA-Form Pro helps to produce a high-class visual concrete and it is an ideal choice for demanding applications for wall formwork, formwork systems and special formwork without rippling or grain transfer. The panel is highly alkali resistant, UV tolerant and has increased hardness, offering longer life with more pours and less cost per pour. The panel is coated with a light grey composite coating which reduces heat absorption, maintaining an even temperature throughout the panel even in extreme conditions. In addition, the grey surface makes it easier to mark with additional working details or information.

WISA-Form Pro has been thoroughly tested by our laboratory & in extensive field tests which have received good customer feedback. The product is available immediately through UPM's plywood sales organisation.
