HISTORY
1963 Particle board mill, power plant and residential area are constructed. Owner of the mill is Aarne J Aarnio
1967-68 Plywood mill is built
1983 Oy Wilhelm Schauman Ab purchases the Pellos mills from Aarne J Aarnio. Pellos Oy becomes a subsidiary.
1988 Pellos Oy name is changed to Pellos-Puhos Oy
1988 Oy Wilhem Schauman Ab merges with Kymmene Oy
1989 Pellos-Puhos Oy is merged with Kymmene Oy
1990 Schauman Wood is formed
1994 Particleboard mill is shut down
1994 The second, Pellos 2, spruce plywood mill is inaugurated
1996 Kymmene Oy merges with Repola Oy, UPM-Kymmene is formed May 1, 1996
2002 The third plywood mill, Pellos 3 starts up
2004 UPM-Kymmene Wood Oy is established. Schauman Wood name is replaced by UPM, Pellos Plywood Mills
