HISTORY
1921 Oy Wilhelm Schauman AB plywood mill's production is started in the former Itä-Suomen Kutomo's premises
1930 The mill is destroyed by fire, but it is immediately rebuilt
1973 Production of maxi panels starts
1980s The sawmill, blockboard and fibreboard mills are shut down
1988 Schauman and Kymmene merges
1996 Kymmene Oy and Repola Oy merges and UPM-Kymmene Oy is formed. Schauman Wood becomes subsidiary.
2004 UPM-Kymmene Wood Oy is established.
