UPM has developed, in co-operation with DOW Automotive Systems, a new system for installing plywood trailer floors.

WISA Bonded Floor Solution replaces screws during the installation of the trailer floor. It significantly simplifies the process and improves the whole chassis strength and rigidity. This will open up possibilities to re-design the trailer and potentially increase the pay-load.

Eliminating the use of screws or other mechanical fixing by bonding the floor will ensure cargo damage, due to loose or poorly fitted screws, is a thing of the past. The new fixing system uses WISA special plywood and Dow Automotive BETAMATE™ PU adhesive. The plywood panel is bonded with BETAMATE™ structurally to the trailer chassis without mechanical fixing (screws).
