WISA-Trans has been a technical flooring favorite among vehicle manufacturers, thanks to its strength and long-lived, wear-resistant coating. However, not all panels looking the same have equal performance. WISA-Trans Mk2 has a new distinctive surface pattern which makes it easy to recognize the genuine flooring panel.
UPM Plywood has updated the surface pattern of WISA-Trans to make it easy to spot a genuine WISA panel. To set the product apart from imitations the new surface pattern has been protected with design registration. The product continues to perform to the high standards to which the customers have become accustomed.
The new surface pattern acts as a guarantee of quality. Upon seeing the new pattern, you can be confident that the board is a genuine WISA-Trans product, manufactured by UPM. This means that the product works exactly as specified.
“The new pattern gives a fresh image and is also proof that the panels are made of solid birch plywood which fulfils the end-use requirements from a strength and durability point of view,” says Juha Patovirta, senior manager for business development at UPM Plywood. “At the same time, we have increased the production capacity to secure the continuous availability of WISA-Trans products.”
New look, same performance
WISA-Trans is a slip-resistant plywood panel for demanding flooring applications in transport and construction. The panel is made of birch veneers glued together in special-oriented or cross-banded constructions. The product is intended for use as flooring in trucks, trailers and railway wagons but also for demanding building applications such as warehouse floors and loading platforms. The patterned coating is especially wear-resistant, which helps prolong the service life of the flooring.
