The new color has already been introduced in some markets with positive feedback. It will be rolled out over the coming months across all WISA-Spruce FR panel specifications.
Apart from the new color, the product remains exactly the same in terms of performance, usability and safety. The color serves only a visual purpose and does not influence the fire-retardant or structural properties of WISA-Spruce FR. The new color is not UV-stable and may fade slightly over time.
“The renewed color gives the plywood a cohesive and distinctive appearance, serving as a clear sign that the panels are made of strong, fire-retardant spruce plywood that meets the required strength, durability and safety standards for their applications,” says UPM Plywood’s Product Manager Riku Härkönen.
New color, familiar WISA-Spruce FR performance
WISA-Spruce FR continues to offer the highest fire classification available for a wood-based material. Its fire-retardant treatment enables the plywood to meet B-s1, d0 fire classifications for roofs and walls and Bfl-s1for floors, without compromising the proven performance of standard WISA-Spruce plywood. This allows it to replace multilayer fire-retardant structures.
Designed for demanding structural and load-bearing applications, including floors, walls and roofs, WISA-Spruce FR ensures reliable strength and safety wherever fire retardancy is needed.
