UPM Plywood has completed the employee negotiations at Jyväskylä plywood mill

(UPM Plywood, Lahti, Finland, 30 November 2015 at 09:30 EET) - The employee negotiations regarding production re-organization and outsourcing of mill cleaning at Jyväskylä plywood mill have been completed. The negotiations were started in October. As a result of the negotiations 23 production vacancies will become redundant. In addition, three vacancies in mill cleaning will be outsourced and moved to another employer. At the start of the negotiations the redundancies were estimated at about 30 persons.

The decided redundancies will gradually take place during the winter and spring. Eleven persons losing their jobs have the opportunity to be included in a pension scheme. The mill's personnel after the reductions will be about 200 persons, of which, about 150 work in production.
